Skate Scout is preparing for closed beta. This page explains the main information used by the app and how beta users can request account or data deletion.
Information the app may use
- Email address for account sign-in and account support.
- Foreground location when you choose nearby route discovery or follow mode.
- Saved route IDs, imported route drafts, and route issue reports for signed-in users.
- Diagnostics, crash reports, and product analytics to improve beta quality.
What is not planned for MVP
- No background location tracking.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No public user profiles.
- No payment data collected in the mobile app.
Account and data deletion
To request deletion of your Skate Scout account and associated beta data, email privacy@skatescout.au from the email address you used for Skate Scout. Use the subject line “Delete my Skate Scout data”.
Skate Scout will verify the request and delete account-linked beta data where required by law and technically available, including sign-in account records, saved routes, imported route drafts, route issue reports linked to your account, and follow-session records linked to your account.
Some limited operational records may be retained where required for security, legal, audit, abuse-prevention, or service-integrity reasons. Retained records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
